Walkers
The minimum age for
a baby to use a walker would be at about 5 months up to about 15 months (must follow manufacturer's height and
weight restrictions). By using a walker, your baby will have a head start in strengthening their leg and back
muscles to eventually walk on their own. Most importantly, you should have a safe area sealed off specifically for your baby to enjoy
their walker where adult supervision is always
available.
Safety Precautions:
-
Never leave your baby unattended in a baby
walker.
-
Never carry the baby
walker with your baby inside of it.
-
Never use the baby walker if there are missing parts or damaged.
-
Always keep the baby walker on the ground and safe from dangerous hazards around the house such as
extra toys, electrical outlets/chords, drapes and any potential falling items.
-
Make sure there are no
dangerous items that would allow your baby to pull down (such as chords of electronic devices) and to
make sure that all stairs are blocked off. Also be sure that all stair access is
blocked.
-
A safe baby walker would be one that is hard to tip over if the baby manages to lean out in a certain
angle. Make sure the baby walker you purchase has a wide base and a low center of gravity for a
solid foundation.
-
Make sure the baby walker has no sharp edges.
- If your are using a used baby swing, it's important to research the up to date safety standards under ASTM.
We recommend JPMA Products certified
products. And always be on alert for recall baby products, see www.cpsc.gov.
-
Activity Centers are another great option to
help strenghthen your baby's leg muscles as they are mainly stationary and have lots of fun
toys to play with.

Walker Benefits
This is by far one of the best looking walkers we have come across, it's cute and easy to clean. Plus we
love items that help babies learn how to walk and keep them occupied at the same time.
Walker Improvements
The walker looks great to the parent, but for the baby there could be more toys for them
to play and engage with. Take a look at the Chicco DJ Baby
Walker, it has more features and a better padded seat for the baby even though it doesn't look as
cute as the Combi Walker.
Walker Safety Note:
For safety reasons some parents do not prefer the walker as it allows
the baby to be able to approach danger zones such as wires and outlets at an elevated level. Regardless if
you use a walker or not, you would have to baby proof your home anyways as a precaution is always the safest
bet. Make sure access to stairs are blocked and potentially dangerous items are kept away like hanging chords
and chemicals.

Walker
Benefits
For baby's between 5 to 15 months it's a great way for them to learn how to walk and be in motion
independently. We love the 3 different height settings for your baby to grow throughout those
months. And to keep the walker in mint condition, the padded seat is removable for washing - so you can
pass it along to your next baby or to someone who wouldn't mind a hand me down.
Walker
Improvements
We think this is the best walker there is available on the market.

Walker
Benefits
Safety 1st products are always well thought through when it comes to safety as well as catering to the child's
needs. We like that the activity tray is removeable as play time and snack time should sometimes be
separated! It's also another great way to take the toys out to give it a good wash for your baby to be safe
from dirt and bacteria. Also another great feature of this walker is the grip strips at the bottom to reduce
movement on uneven surfaces.
Walker Improvements
Overall it's a great product, we think this is one of the best walkers out there on the
market. However, we did not give it a full rating as we think the Chicco
DJ Baby Walker is a bit better equipped with toys to grab your baby's attention.
